FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WALLA WALLA – Starting in January 2014, AMI Advertising Agency’s PR pro Jillian Henze will serve on the Spokane Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America as the Director-at-Large for communications.
Spokane’s chapter of this professional organization was founded in 1980 and includes PR professionals from all over Eastern Washington.
Henze will serve on the 10-member leadership team to organize communications within the chapter as well as with PR professionals throughout the region regarding PRSA accreditation, social events, professional opportunities and continuing education.
With a background in journalism, Henze joined the AMI team in December 2012 to lead the agency’s PR department. In 2013, she provided crisis communications PR, event planning and execution, guerilla PR and coverage across multiple media outlets for clients in the health care, automotive and wine industries.
“AMI Advertising Agency is fortunate to have Jillian managing our PR agency,” said Katie Oblisk, a partner at AMI. “She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. You can tell by her work that she strives to produce positive results for our clients, while also providing a valuable relationship for the media.”
Before AMI, Henze worked as a reporter and editor at weekly, tri-weekly and daily newspapers. She loves fact checking, AP Style and knowing the daily operations and challenges of newsrooms mean she creates complex PR strategies based on the needs and wants of journalists.
It is Henze’s goal to answer every reporter's call or email within 10 minutes and prepare clients so they are experts in all media interviews.
